四姑娘山被称为东方阿尔卑斯。这个名号在网络上出现得太频繁，很多人还没出发就已经听腻了。真正站到双桥沟沟口，视野顺着谷底往里面延伸，雪山一座接一座地立在前方。空气干净得发亮，雪线在阳光下白得刺眼。这时候才明白，东方阿尔卑斯这四个字没有吹牛。它甚至还有点保守。

Mount Siguniang is called the Oriental Alps. The title appears so often online that many people are tired of it before they even leave. Standing at the entrance of Shuangqiao Valley, the view extends along the valley floor, and snow mountains stand one after another ahead. The air is so clear it gleams, and the snow line is dazzling white under the sun. At this moment, it becomes clear that the title Oriental Alps is not exaggerated. It may even be a little modest.

双桥沟是四姑娘山三条沟里开发最完善的一条。观光车从沟口开到最深处的红杉林，单程三十多公里。车窗外的景色一直没断过，但坐在车里总隔着一层玻璃。真正舒服的方式是下车徒步。栈道修得平整，土路也不难走。沿途雪山、草甸、海子接连出现，体力消耗比想象中低。走一段歇一段，一天下来刚好。

Shuangqiao Valley is the most developed of the three valleys in Mount Siguniang. A shuttle bus runs from the entrance to the deepest point at Redwood Forest, a one-way distance of more than thirty kilometers. The scenery outside the window never stops, but sitting in the bus always puts a layer of glass between you and the landscape. The better way is to get off and walk. The boardwalks are even, and the dirt paths are easy. Snow mountains, meadows, and alpine lakes appear one after another, and the effort required is lower than expected. Walking in sections with short breaks makes a full day just right.

沟里的雪山都有名字。五色山、日月宝镜、鹰嘴岩、布达拉峰，一座接一座排列在沟谷两侧。布达拉峰的岩壁陡得吓人，雪后白得晃眼。山峰离人很近，近到需要仰起脖子才能看到顶。山体的纹理、岩石的棱角、雪层下的冰面全都暴露在眼前。那种压迫感是照片拍不出来的。人站在这下面，会不自觉地安静下来。

The snow mountains in the valley all have names. Wuse Mountain, Riyue Baojing, Yingzui Rock, and Potala Peak line the two sides of the valley. The rock face of Potala Peak is frighteningly steep and blindingly white after snow. The peaks are so close that you have to tilt your head back to see the top. The texture of the mountain, the edges of the rock, and the ice beneath the snow are fully exposed. That sense of pressure cannot be captured in a photo. Standing beneath it, people fall silent without meaning to.

双桥沟的海子数量不算多，但每个都值得停。四姑娜措和隆珠措是最出名的两个。湖水颜色受天气影响，阴天是灰绿色，晴天蓝得发青。枯木插在浅水里，雪峰倒影铺满湖面。风一停，水面纹丝不动，倒影清楚得能看见山体的褶皱。天气不好时，湖水会显得沉闷，但只要有一束光落下来，颜色立刻跳出来。

Shuangqiao Valley does not have many alpine lakes, but each one deserves a stop. Sigunacuo and Longzhucuo are the two most famous. The water color changes with the weather. On cloudy days it is gray-green, and on sunny days it turns a deep blue. Dead trees stand in the shallow water, and the reflections of snow peaks cover the surface. When the wind stops, the water is completely still, and the reflection shows every fold on the mountains. 徒步可以从红杉林开始，一路往下走。经过牛棚子、四姑娜措、撵鱼坝，最后到人参果坪。全程超过二十公里，海拔从三千八百多米逐渐降到三千四百米左右。往下走比往上走轻松，但连续下坡对膝盖有一定压力。体力一般的人可以分段走，坐一段观光车，再走一段。这样既不累，也不会错过精华。沿途的指示牌清晰，不容易走错。

The hike can start from Redwood Forest and go downhill. The route passes Niupengzi, Sigunacuo, Nianyuba, and ends at Renshenguoping. The total distance is over twenty kilometers, and the altitude drops from around 3,800 meters to about 3,400 meters. Walking downhill is easier than going up, but continuous descent puts some pressure on the knees. People with average fitness can hike in sections and take the shuttle bus between them. This way the walk is not tiring and the highlights are not missed. The signs along the route are clear, so it is hard to get lost.

红杉林到牛棚子这段海拔最高。林子密，栈道缓缓延伸。刚走几步，呼吸就会变重。转过一个弯，雪山突然出现在前方。空气冷而干净，山体的细节看得清清楚楚。雪崩留下的沟槽、岩石的纹理、雪层下面的蓝色冰面，全都铺在眼前。这一段的人最少，风穿过树林的声音一直跟着。走着走着，会忘记时间。

The section from Redwood Forest to Niupengzi has the highest altitude. The forest is dense, and the boardwalk extends gently. After a few steps, breathing becomes heavier. Around a bend, a snow mountain suddenly appears ahead. The air is cold and clean, and the details of the mountain are visible. Avalanche grooves, rock textures, and the blue ice beneath the snow are all laid out. This section has the fewest people. The sound of wind moving through the forest follows you the whole way. While walking, time fades away.

撵鱼坝是双桥沟里最开阔的一段。草甸铺得很宽，溪水在草地里绕来绕去。牦牛低着头吃草，根本不理过路的人。五六月开始，草甸上的野花陆陆续续开，黄色和紫色最多。远处几座雪山连成一线，山顶的雪在下午的光线里特别亮。走到这里步子会不由自主慢下来。有些人干脆在草甸边坐下，一坐就是半小时。

Nianyuba is the most open section in Shuangqiao Valley. The meadow spreads wide, and streams wind through the grass. Yaks graze with their heads down and ignore passing hikers. From May and June onward, wildflowers bloom in waves, mostly yellow and purple. In the distance, several snow mountains line up, and their snowy tops turn especially bright in the afternoon light. People slow down here without noticing. Some simply sit by the meadow and stay for half an hour.

四姑娜措的湖水不深，湖底沉着不少枯木。那些枯木在水里泡了很多年，枝干发白。早晚风小，倒影最稳。中午阳光直射，水面开始起皱，倒影就散了。要在湖边等一会儿，等风停，等水面重新安静。这个过程需要耐心。湖边有栈道和观景台，拍照的人很多。想避开人群，可以往湖的另一侧走一小段。

The water of Sigunacuo is not deep, and many dead trees lie on the lake bottom. Those trees have soaked for years, and their branches have turned pale. In the early morning and evening, the wind is light and the reflections are steady. At noon, direct sunlight stirs the surface, and the reflections break apart. You need to wait by the lake for the wind to stop and the water to settle again. This takes patience. There are boardwalks and viewing platforms by the lake, and many people take photos there. To avoid the crowd, walk a short distance to the other side of the lake.

川西的天气变得极快。前一分钟还是大太阳，后一分钟雪粒就砸下来。冷风顺着沟谷往里灌，温度迅速下降。冲锋衣和抓绒衣必须随身带。太阳一露脸，又热得想脱外套。这种反复折腾让徒步多了不少麻烦，但也让天空和山景变化极快。云层一开，整条沟的光线都不一样。随时留意天气，包里多放一件衣服不会错。

The weather in western Sichuan changes extremely fast. One minute the sun is bright, and the next minute snow pellets hit the ground. Cold wind pours through the valley, and the temperature drops rapidly. A windproof jacket and fleece are essential. When the sun comes out again, it feels hot enough to remove layers. This constant change makes hiking more troublesome, but it also makes the sky and mountains shift quickly. When the clouds part, the light in the whole valley changes. Always keep an eye on the weather, and carrying an extra layer is never a mistake.

双桥沟海拔不算特别高，但高反不能大意。徒步速度要慢，步子要匀。头痛、恶心、喘不上气时，立刻停下来休息。喝热水比喝冷水舒服。不要硬撑，不要赶路。晚上住在四姑娘山镇，海拔三千二百米。睡眠会变浅，半夜容易醒。这些都是身体在适应。严重头痛或呕吐时，马上下撤到低海拔比什么都重要。

The altitude in Shuangqiao Valley is not extreme, but altitude sickness should not be ignored. Walk slowly and keep a steady pace. If headache, nausea, or breathlessness appears, stop and rest immediately. Warm water feels better than cold water. Do not force yourself forward or rush. At night, most people stay in Siguniangshan Town at 3,200 meters. Sleep becomes light, and waking up in the middle of the night is common. These are signs of the body adjusting. With severe headache or vomiting, descending to a lower altitude is more important than anything else.

川西能看雪山海子的地方很多。稻城亚丁、贡嘎、格聂各有各的壮观。双桥沟的优势在于集中。一条沟里，雪山、海子、草甸、森林、溪流全都齐了，路程平缓，适合大多数人。不用重装，不用翻垭口，就能看到高海拔才有的风景。这个便利程度在川西很少见。对第一次上高原的人来说，双桥沟是很稳的选择。

There are many places in western Sichuan to see snow mountains and alpine lakes. Daocheng Yading, Gongga, and Genie each have their own grandeur. The advantage of Shuangqiao Valley is concentration. In one valley, snow mountains, lakes, meadows, forests, and streams are all present. The route is gentle and suits most people. Without heavy gear or high passes, visitors can see scenery that usually requires high altitude. This convenience is rare in western Sichuan. For first-time visitors to high altitude, Shuangqiao Valley is a safe choice.

秋天是双桥沟最抢眼的季节。红杉变成金黄，落叶松也黄得透亮。雪山比夏天更白，空气通透，适合拍照。冬天沟里冷，海子会结冰，游客少，安静得出奇。春天雪线低，沟里还有残雪。夏天花多草绿，但雨水也多，山峰常被云遮住。每个季节都有自己的取舍。别指望一次来就能看全所有样子。

Autumn is the most striking season in Shuangqiao Valley. The redwoods turn golden, and the larches become bright yellow. The snow mountains look whiter than in summer, and the clear air is good for photography. In winter, the valley is cold and the lakes freeze. There are few visitors, and the quiet is unusual. In spring, the snow line is low and patches of snow remain. In summer, flowers are abundant and the grass is green, but there is more rain and the peaks are often hidden by clouds. Each season has its trade-offs. Do not expect to see every version of the valley in one visit.

很多人第一次听说四姑娘山，是因为东方阿尔卑斯这个名号。心里多少会怀疑，觉得是宣传口号。真在双桥沟走一圈，这种怀疑会消失。雪山的高度、海子的颜色、草甸的开阔，都在一条沟里同时出现。不需要去欧洲，不需要办签证，只要飞到成都，再坐几个小时车，就能站在这里。成都出发，经都江堰、映秀、卧龙，翻过巴朗山，四姑娘山就在眼前。

Many people first hear about Mount Siguniang because of the title Oriental Alps. They are somewhat skeptical and think it is just a slogan. After walking through Shuangqiao Valley, the doubt disappears. The height of the snow mountains, the color of the lakes, and the openness of the meadows all appear in one valley. You do not need to go to Europe or apply for a visa. Fly to Chengdu, drive a few hours, and you are here. The road from Chengdu passes Dujiangyan, Yingxiu, and Wolong, climbs over Balang Mountain, and then Mount Siguniang appears ahead.

双桥沟的徒步不算难，但每一步都能看见不同的东西。有时是一片红杉林，有时是一条溪，有时是一座雪山从云层里露出半截。眼睛接收到的信息太多，走到后面会有些麻木。回头看走过的路，才发现自己已经站在离峰顶很近的地方。那种满足感来自身体和眼睛的同时完成。走完回到沟口，腿会酸，但脑子里装满了画面。

The hike in Shuangqiao Valley is not difficult, but every step reveals something different. Sometimes it is a redwood forest, sometimes a stream, sometimes a snow mountain emerging halfway from the clouds. The eyes receive too much information, and after a while, they become numb. Looking back at the path, you realize you are standing close to the summits. The satisfaction comes from completing the walk with both body and eyes. Back at the valley entrance, the legs are sore, but the mind is full of images.

四姑娘山的另外两条沟，长坪沟和海子沟，更适合有徒步经验的人。双桥沟则把门槛降得很低。老人、小孩、平时不运动的人，都能在这里找到适合自己的节奏。这也让双桥沟的人流量最大，节假日观光车要排队。如果想安静，尽量赶早或者选择工作日。早上的沟里光线也柔和，雪山的轮廓非常清楚。

The other two valleys of Mount Siguniang, Changping Valley and Haizi Valley, are more suitable for experienced hikers. Shuangqiao Valley lowers the threshold. Elderly people, children, and those who rarely exercise can find a comfortable pace here. This is why Shuangqiao Valley has the largest visitor flow, and the shuttle bus line gets long during holidays. If you want quiet, go early or choose a weekday. The morning light in the valley is soft, and the outlines of the snow mountains are extremely clear.

四姑娘山东方阿尔卑斯不是吹的。双桥沟徒步看雪山海子，一天时间能看个大概，两天时间能看得从容。川西颜值担当这个说法，放在它身上不算过分。来过一次，手机相册会多出几百张照片。删掉哪一张都觉得可惜。下次再来，可能还是同一座山，但天气不同，看到的就是另一条沟。

Mount Siguniang deserves the title Oriental Alps. Hiking through Shuangqiao Valley to see snow mountains and alpine lakes takes about one day for a quick visit and two days for a relaxed pace. Calling it the face of western Sichuan is not excessive. After one visit, your phone album will gain hundreds of photos. Deleting any of them seems a pity. Next time, the mountains may be the same, but with different weather, the valley appears completely different.
